*Boston Tea Party Museum:*
One of the historical events that happened during mid of 18th century @ port of Boston, and quite interestingly that had eventually LED to American Independence.

That whole episode has been enacted by the professional drama acters so emotionally as if it were happened during 1773, the day the tiny ship arrived at the Port of Boston, (though the ship might have constructed later, but precisely MODELED as if it were of that ship during 1773) carried Tea from England.

That ship was modelled in such a way to reflect 1770s technology, it was as filthy as, as nasty as of 1773 ship, with few crew including captain (model) had been resting in a cot, size of 6 X 2 ft, sqalid toilets, exact size of the tea boxes 1 ft x 1ft etc.

In the other room, the animated video was running how the arguements was put forth by one of the American Founding Fathers – Samuvel Adams against the then Premier of England.

The above episode, had unarguably kindled the emotions of the visitors and when we came out, my daughter asked me, ….

*….the same kind could be developed or emulated in India too by portraying hallmark incidences such as – Salt March, Quit India Movement, Jallianwala Bagh incidents etc to induce patriotism in Indian youths….*

I request the readers to pay your attention towards the two most important lessons I have drawn from the above visit.

(1) *The Power / Perils of Government Aided Corporates and vice versa:*

Before the event happened, the prevailing pracice was the East India Company would bring Tea boxes from China and sell it to the apponited colony agents in America and then inturn those agents would sell it to the American Public.

On the event day, EIC carried 3 ships of Tea with 2 important veto power from the England Government that would supercede the existing practices of selling commodities only through agents.

(1) EIC can directly sell it to the colonial public from then onwards.

(2) The agents had to pay tax if they wanted the tea boxes.

Obviously, EIC had gained advantage over agents by price as well as hereafter they don’t need to depend upon only colonial agents to sell their products.

The victimized agents and the freedom deprived  public fought together and that led to American Independence.

#2: *My Reply to my daughter for her genuine concerns about whether this model could be emulated in India?*

I replied my daughter depressingly but longingly why it can’t be in India?

Though America had become independent 3 centuries ago, it’s leaders have never argued nor disputed on *”who their founding fathers were”*

They have longback settled on that issue and no subsequent presidential nominees never involved in slamming their “founding fathers” for the sake of garnering votes.

We, Indians are yet to settle who are my “founding fathers” and we keep on moving from Gandhi, Nehru, Patel to Patel, Bose, Savarkar to…if communist governments comes to power, then we are not sure who would replace Savarkar?

*Until we settle on who were our founding fathers without dispute, we can’t implant patriotism in our youths through such “Boston Tea Party Museum kinds…..”*

இதற்கு முந்திய பதிவில் ப. சிங்காரம் என்பவர் அந்த குறளுக்கு தந்த விளக்கத்தால் என்னை திக்குமுக்காடா செய்துவிட்டார் என்று எழுதியிருந்தேன்.

எப்படி?

அந்த குறள் இடம் பீட்டர சூழல் மற்றும் விளக்கம் என்னை கொஞ்சம் அறிவியல் – பொறியாளர் படித்தவனாகவும், தத்துவம் பயிலும் மாணவனாகவும் எண்ணிக்கொண்டு “திருவள்ளுவர்” கவிதை அல்லது இலக்கிய நயத்திற்காக மட்டும் ஒரே சொல்லை “யாதனின் யாதனின்”, “அதனின் அதனின்” இரண்டு முறை பயன் படுத்தியிருக்க மாட்டார் என்று நினைத்து தத்துவ விளக்கத்தை தேடி வலைதளங்களில் புகுந்தேன்.

பரிமேலழகர், மு. வ, சாலமன் பாப்பாயா போன்ற பலரும் தங்கள் விளக்கங்களை தந்து இருந்தாலும் என்னுடைய தத்துவ விசாரணைக்கு முற்றிலும் பொருந்தவில்லை.

அவர்கள் அனைவரும் கிடத்திட்ட ஒரே பொருளில் அதாவது

“எந்தந்த பொருள்களில் இருந்து பற்று நீக்கி விலகுகிறோமோ அந்தந்த பொருளினால் விளையும் துன்பங்களில் இருந்து விலகுகிறோம்.”

“யாதனின் – எந்த, யாதனின் – எந்த.”

“அதனின் – அந்த, அதனின் – அந்த” என்ற பொருளில் விளக்கம் அளித்து இருக்கிறார்கள்.

*என்னுடைய நிலைப்பாடு:*

வள்ளுவர் “பொருள்” என்ற வார்த்தையை குறிப்பிடவில்லை.

(1) மேலும் “பொருள்” என்றால் நாம் “உயிரற்றவற்றை” மட்டுமே பழக்கத்தில் குறிப்பிடுகிறோம்.

நம் வாழ்வில் இடற்பாடுகள் / துன்பங்கள் உயிரற்ற பொருள்களின் மீது வைக்கும் பற்றினால் மட்டுமல்ல, உயிருள்ள பொருட்கள் – மரம், செடி, வளர்ப்பு பிராணிகள், உறவுகள் போன்றவற்றாலும் துன்பங்களுக்கு ஆட்படுகிறோம்.

எனவே வள்ளுவர் *”முதலில் கூறும் ‘யாதனின்’ – பொருட்கள் மீது வைக்கும் பற்றையும், இரண்டாவதாக கூறும் ‘யாதனின்’ – உயிர்கள் மீது வைக்கும் பற்றையும் குறிப்பதாக பொருள் கொள்ளலாம் என்று எனக்குப் படுகிறது.

(2) கார்ல் மார்க்ஸ் காலங்களில் பெரும் விவாதத்திற்கு உட்படுத்தப் பட்டது “பொருள் முதலா? அல்லது கருத்து முதலா?” என்பது.

அவ்வாறு நோக்கும் போது முதல் “யாதனின்” அனைத்து பொருள்களையும் குறிப்பாதாகவும், இரண்டாவது “யாதனின்” அனைத்து கருத்துக்களையும் – மதம், ஜாதி, கடவுள், மொழி, தேசியம் – குறிப்பாதாகவும், இதில் எதன் மீது பற்று இருந்தாலும் அது துன்பம் விளைவிக்கும். எனவே அதனின்று நீங்குதல் என்றும் பொருள் கொள்ளலாம்.

(3) “அதனின், அதனின்”

முதல் “அதனின்” எதிலிருந்து விடுபடுகிறோமோ, அதனால் உண்டாகும் துன்பம் அல்லது நோயில் இருந்து விடுதலை என்றும்

(4) இரண்டாவது “அதனின்” என்பது நோயில் இருந்து விடுதலை கொஞ்சம் கொஞ்சமாக “நோயே இல்லாமல் விடுதலை” என்ற இன்ப நிலையை அடைவோம் என்ற பொருளிலும் வள்ளுவர் ஒரே சொல்லை இரண்டு முறை பயன் படுத்தி இருக்கலாம் என்பது என்னுடைய தத்துவ மாணவனாக தத்துவ விசாரணை.

*புயலிலே ஒரு தோணி – ப. சிங்காரம் : நாவல் அறிமுகம்:*

ப. சிங்காரம் என்பவர் சிங்கம்புணரியில் பிறந்து (திருப்பத்தூர் அருகே) தொழில் நிமித்தம் அல்லது பிழைப்புக்காக மலேயா, பினாங்கு மற்றும் இந்தோனேஷியா பகுதிகளில் இரண்டாம் உலகப்போர் சமயத்தில் வாழ்ந்து கடைசி காலங்களில், குடும்பத்தை இழந்த நிலையில் மதுரையில் மிகவும் வறுமையில் யாருமில்லாமல் தனியாக இறந்து இருப்பதாக முன்னுரைக் குறிப்பு.

சிங்காரம் அவர்கள் தன்னுடைய இரண்டாம் உலகப்போர் சமயத்தில் தமிழர்கள் – செட்டியார்கள் நடத்திய வட்டிக்கடைகளில் தான் “அடுத்தாள்” ஆக வேலை பார்த்த அனுபவங்களை உலகப்போர் அனுபவத்தோடு சேர்த்து மிக அழகிய, தேர்ந்த, தமிழ் வாசகர்கள் இதுவரை அறியாத நடையில் தந்து இருக்கிறார்.

இவர் கடல் கடந்து வட்டிக்கடைகளில் வேலை பார்த்தபோது பல உலக மற்றும் ரஷ்ய இலக்கியங்களை தேடித் தேடி ( தமிழ் புத்தகங்கள் கிடைக்காததால்) படித்து இருக்கிறார் என்பது நாவலின் கட்டமைப்பில் தென்படுகிறது.

கடைசி காலங்களில் வறுமையில் ந. முருகேசபாண்டியன் என்பவருடைய நேர்காணலில் *”தமிழ் வாசகர்கள் சுஜாதா மற்றும் சிவசங்கரி போன்றவர்களை எப்படி கொண்டாடுகிறார்கள் என்பது எனக்கு புரியவில்லை. நான் சிலவற்றைப் படித்த போது அதில் என்ன இருக்கிறது என்று எனக்கு வியப்பாக இருக்கிறது”* என்கிறார்.

முதலில் எனக்கு அவருடைய அந்த வாக்குமூலம் எனக்கு கொஞ்சம் அதிகப்படியாக தெரிந்தாலும், நாவலை முழுமையாக படித்தபிறகு *”ப. சிங்காரம்” அவ்வாறு கூறுவதற்கு முற்றிலும் தகுதியானவர்* என்று எனக்கு புரிந்தது.

இவர் நேரடி இலக்கிய வெளிச்சத்திற்கு வராமல், கடைசி காலங்களில் தமிழகம் திரும்பிய போது குடும்பத்தை இழந்ததால் சற்று எதிர்மறை நிலையிலும் அந்த நேர்காணல் அமைந்து இருக்கலாம்.

எது எப்படியோ, நாம் – தமிழர்கள் வழக்கம்போல *”சிவாஜி எனும் சிங்கத்திற்கு, தமிழ் இயக்குனர்கள் தயிர் சாதம் வைத்தே கொன்று விட்டார்கள்”* என்பதைப்போல *…..குறிப்பிட்ட எழுத்தாளர்களை, குறிப்பிட்ட காரணங்களுக்காக (பிறப்பு மற்றும் செல்வாக்கு அடிப்படையில் மட்டுமே) கொண்டாடி சிங்காரம் போன்ற திறமையான இலக்கியவாதிகளை போற்றாமல் கொன்றுவிட்டோம் என்று மனம் வேதனை படுகிறது.*

அவருடைய எழுத்தின் புலமைக்கு ஒரு சான்று:

*”யாதெனின் யாதெனின் நீங்கியான் நோதல் அதனின் அதனின் இலன்.”*

…..எனும் திருக்குறளை போகிற போக்கில் (கதைக்கு அந்த குறள் தேவையே இல்லை) விளக்கம் சொல்லி என்னை திக்குமுக்காட செய்துவிட்டார்.

*சாலமன் பாப்பையா மற்றும் பல தமிழ் ஆசிரியர்களால்  கவரப்பாடாத நான் சிங்காரத்தால் திருக்குறள் படிக்க வேண்டும் என்ற உந்துதலுக்கு ஆளாகியிருக்கிறேன்.*

*சிங்காரம் அந்த குறளுக்கு தரும் பொருள்:*

*”இளைஞனே, நாணயமா-பித்தலாட்டமா என்பது “தேவை ” களின் நெருக்குதலைப் பொறுத்தே முடிவாகிறது.*

*தேவையல்லாதவற்றை வாங்குபவன் தேவையானவற்றை – அதாவது வாய்மை, நேர்மை, மானம் போன்றவற்றை விற்க நேரும்…. தேவைகளை குறைத்துக் கொண்டால் பலருக்கு பல தொல்லைகள் நீங்கிவிடும்.”*

*ஆகவேதான் தேவைகளை குறைத்துக் கொள்ளும்படி ஞானியர் கூறப்போந்தனர்.*….

…. என்று மேற்கூறிய திருக்குறளை மேற்கோளாக காண்பிக்கிறார்.

மிகவும் அருமையான படைப்பு. இந்த புத்தகத்தைப் படித்து முடிக்கும் போது, சில உலகப்போர் நிகழ்வுகளுடன் “ப. சிங்காரம்” என்பவரின் அறிவு, வறுமை மற்றும் போர்க்கால அனுபவங்களுடன்-  *நம் வாழ்க்கையை, நம் அறிவை, நம் அனுபவங்களை ஒப்பீடு செய்யும் போது ஒரு நாற்பது அல்லது ஐம்பது ஆண்டுகள் தள்ளிப் பிறந்ததால் மட்டுமே எவ்வளவு சுகங்களை அனுபவிக்கிறோம் என்று எண்ணும்போது குற்றவுணர்ச்சிக்கு ஆட்படாமல் இருக்க முடியவில்லை.*

*My Perspective on Religions:*

If we try to trace the origins of any religion that exists today through research, we find that none are older than about 6,000 years. Yet, science tells us that the Earth is approximately 4.68 billion years old.

From this, we can deduce three truths:

1. At least 10,000 years ago, the world functioned well without any religion.
2. Religion was created by humans, not by God.
3. Anything created by humans is not permanent and is subject to change.

*So why do we need religion? Why was it created?*

In times when science had not advanced and laws were not established, religion played a crucial role. It guided people away from unnecessary and uncontrollable thoughts (like why we are born, why we die, why it doesn’t rain, and many more), motivated them to work, promoted selflessness, encouraged group thinking, and taught a life based on morals, nature, and community. Religion was essential to make people act responsibly without the need for authority.

Today, with scientific advancements and stringent laws in place in every nation, *the role of religion has shrunk to teaching personal morals and related practices.*

In the current era of scientific progress and established laws, *the need for religion has shifted from a national level to an individual one, focusing on personal ethics and values.*

When the thought “my religion is superior” arises, each person should recognize that they are acting negatively towards their religion rather than positively.

When we think “my religion is the best” and believe that only our religion should prevail, we must understand that we are straying from the core principles of tolerance and equality that all religions fundamentally advocate.

To make our lives meaningful, we should use our religion like a pole-vaulting pole.

Imagine religion as the long pole in pole-vaulting.

To reach a certain height, the pole (religion) is essential in an individual’s life. But when we mature enough to go beyond the pole (religion), and cross the barriers of different religions, we then begin our journey towards “spirituality.” This realization helps us evolve into complete human beings.

*Maharaja – Tamil Movie Review:*

*Disclaimer:* I will not discuss specific details about this movie to avoid spoilers.

*Recommendation:* A must-watch for those over 18. It may not be suitable for family viewing due to some intense, disquieting, and disturbing scenes.

*However, it’s a film that will delight movie connoisseurs.*

*It challenges the audience’s faculties throughout.*

*Language is no barrier.*

*It’s a treat to watch the non-linear screenplay style.*

After watching the movie, I realized the difference between *”successful directors” and “legendaries.”*

In the ’70s, KB was a phenomenal screenplay writer. In the ’80s, Bharathiraja’s arrival eclipsed KB’s style. Then K. Bagyaraj was celebrated as one of the best screenplay writers Tamil cinema has ever produced during ’85-’95. His scenes were picture-perfect and well-connected, mostly in a linear style, though he experimented with non-linear narratives in “Mouna Geetangal,” “Andha 7 Natkal,” and “Vidiyum Varai Kathiru,” which earned him huge acclaim.

If Bagyaraj were to see this movie, he might feel ashamed of the adulations he received during his heyday. This style of screenplay writing is entirely foreign to those once considered the best, like KB, Bharathiraja, and Bagyaraj.

I concluded that young director Nithilan has outsmarted all previous directors with the help of technology and timelines.

As KB, Bharathiraja, and Bagyaraj have become outdated, they are considered successful but not legendary.

*Legendaries are those who can outlive technology and time, such as Gandhi, Nehru, and Periyar.*

Worth watching: “Maharaja.”

*மதங்களைப் பற்றிய என் பார்வை :*

இன்று புழக்கத்தில் இருக்கும் எந்த ஒரு மதத்தையும் எடுத்துக்கொண்டு அதனுடைய தொடக்கத்தை ஆராய்ச்சிகள் மூலம் கண்டறிய முயன்றால் அதிகபட்சம் 6,000 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு மேல் இருக்காது. ஆனால் நாம் வசிக்கும் பூமியின் வயது தோராயமாக 468 கோடி ஆண்டுகள் என்று விஞ்ஞானம் அறிவுறுத்துகிறது.

இதில் இருந்து மூன்று உண்மைகளை தரவு செய்யலாம்.

(1) குறைந்த பட்சம் 10,000 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பாக இந்த உலகம் எந்த ஒரு மதத்தின் துணையும் அல்லாமல் நன்றாகவே இயங்கி வந்திருக்கிறது.

(2) மதம் மனிதனால் தான் உருவாக்கப்பட்டு இருக்கிறது. கடவுளால் அல்ல.

(3) மனிதனால் உருவாக்கப்பட்ட எதுவுமே சாசுவதமில்லை. அனைத்துமே மாற்றத்திற்கு உட்பட்டது.

*அப்படியென்றால் மதத்தின் தேவைதான் என்ன? மதம் ஏன் தோற்றுவிக்கப்பட்டு இருக்க வேண்டும்?*

*விஞ்ஞானம் வளராத மற்றும் சட்டங்கள் இயற்றப் படாத அந்த காலங்களில்,  மனிதனை தேவையில்லாத, தன் கட்டுக்குள் இல்லாத சிந்தனைகளில் (ஏன் பிறந்தோம்? ஏன் இறக்கிறோம்? ஏன் மழை பெய்யவில்லை? இன்னும் பல) மூழ்கி சோம்பியிராமல் அவனை உழைப்பை நோக்கி நகர்த்தவும், தன்னலமாக செயல்படமால் குழு மனப்பான்மையுடன் செயல்பட வைக்கவும், ஒழுக்கம், இயற்கை மற்றும் சமுதாயம் சார்ந்த வாழ்க்கை வாழப் பழக்குவதற்கும் அதிகாரதின் துணையின்றி தன்முனைப்புடன் மனிதனை செயல்பட வைப்பதிற்காகவே மதத்தின் தேவை  அன்றில் இருந்து இன்று வரை இன்றியமையாததாகிறது.*

இன்று விஞ்ஞானம் வளர்ந்த நிலையில், ஒவ்வொரு தேசங்களிலும் சட்டங்கள் கடுமையாக்கப்பட்ட நிலையிலும் *மதத்தின் தேவை பல விதங்களில் சுருங்கி தனி மனித ஒழுக்கம் மற்றும் அதன் தொடர்பான பழக்கங்களைப் பயிலும் வகையில் மட்டுமே மதத்தின் தேவை இன்றியமையாததாக மாறி இருக்கிறது.*

இன்றைய விஞ்ஞான வளர்ச்சி மற்றும்  சட்டங்கள் இயற்றப்பட்ட நிலையில் *மதத்தின் தேவை தேச அளவில் இருந்து சுருங்கி, முற்றிலுமாக விலகி தனி மனிதத்தேவையாக – ஒழுக்கம் மற்றும் மதிப்பீடுகள் சார்ந்த வாழ்கை – மாறியிருக்கிறது.*

என் மதமே உயர்ந்த மதம் என்ற எண்ணம் தோன்றும் போது, நாம் நம் மதத்திற்கு எதிர்மறையாக செயல்படுகிறோமே அன்றி நேர்மறையாக செயல்படவில்லை என்பதை ஒவ்வொரு தனி மனிதனும் உணர வேண்டும்.

ஏனென்றால், என் மதமே உயர்ந்த மதம், இங்கு நாங்கள் மட்டுமே வாழ வேண்டும் என்று எண்ணும்போதே நாம் எல்லா மதங்களின் அடிநாதமான சகிப்புதன்மை மற்றும் அனைத்து உயிர்களையும் சமமாக பாவித்தல் போன்ற கோட்பாட்டில் இருந்து விலகுகிறோம் என்பதைப் புரிந்து கொள்ளவேண்டும்.

நாம் நம் வாழ்வை அர்த்தமுள்ளதாக அமைத்துக் கொள்வதற்கு நாம் நம் மதத்தை pole-vault விளையாட்டு போல பயன்படுத்திக் கொள்ள வேண்டும்.

மதம் என்பது pole-vault விளையாட்டில் வரும் நீண்ட குச்சி – pole போல கற்பனை செய்து கொள்ளலாம்.

ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட உயரம் செல்ல pole – மதம் தனி மனித வாழ்வில் மிகவும் இன்றியமையாதது. ஆனால் எப்போது pole – மதத்தைத் தாண்டி, மதங்களைக் கடந்து பயணிக்கப் பக்குவப்படுகிறோமோ அப்போதுதான் “spirutuality – ஆன்மீகம்” நோக்கி நடை போடுகிறோம் என்பதை உணரும்போது முழு மனிதனாக பரிணமிக்கிறோம்.

*DADA – Tamil Movie Review:*

*Submission:* Though it’s a Tamil movie, language should not be a barrier, as it deals with a universal issue:

*The challenges of a single father raising a newborn.*

First, congratulations to the director for crafting an amazing family drama, much needed for the times. It is peppered with very light humor, though it could benefit from a tighter script, avoiding some loose scenes and logical errors.

I review this movie specifically for two nerve-wracking scenes, assuring readers there will be no spoilers.

*Scene #1:*

A young dad’s cousin who has sympathized and referred him for a software engineer position at her office. Impressively, the interviewer offers him a Senior Manager – HR role with an incredible pay package.

Unfortunately, the offer is revoked saying a better candidate is selected, and *it turns out his cousin used her influence to thwart his offer because his pay and designation were higher than hers.*

The following dialogue, I believe, may hit each one of our consciences as hard as *a hot hammer as this one dialogue captures the entire humanbeings’ psychology since time-immemorial:*

*”You all want us to be successful because of you. But not more successful than you. Isn’t it?”*

“உங்களுக்கு எல்லாம் நாங்க உங்களால வெற்றி பெற்றவர்களா இருக்கனும். ஆனா உங்களைவிட மேல வெற்றி பெற்று விடக்கூடாது?”.

*Scene #2:* The climax scene. I have been worried all along the movie about how the director would resolve the central conflict,…

…. but he surprisingly has unravels it, by kindling emotions and tears from the audience.

*A worth-watching movie.*

For those 50+ who need more guarantee, *the heroine resembles ’80s actress Jaya Shree from classic director Sridhar’s movie “Thendrale Ennaithodu.”*😝

I first want to congratulate the ECI for having conducted the unprecedented long duration election 2024 that India has ever seen, more or less PEACEFULLY and more or less in a FAIRLY manner, barring few violations of CODE OF CONDUCT that ECI allowed the ruling party impercitibly, especially the PM himself in his election speeches, last day epidodes @ Kannyakumari, etc…

Secondly, I then feel proud of my fellow citizens who have peacefully exercised their democratic franchise whether it’s as ASSENT / DISSENT in a highly civilized manner and it has demonstrated their unshakable FAITH in DEMOCRACY.

The most amazing thing that I have learnt or astonished from Mr. Modi is:

In my 10th standard, my lowest mark was in History & Geography. (Last exam)

In 12th standard, my lowest mark was in Biology. (Last exam)

In my graduation and Post graduations too, my lowest mark or flunk happened in all last exams.

The reason was, it’s not only me, more or less, we most of us, used to go to the “celebration moods” before the night of the last exams such as which film to be watched, which flight or train to be caught to reach home etc…

How has our 3rd time PM got prepared for his exams / elections?

First, He set the vision / Goal in the parliament during the month of March or so as 400.

Since then, he, a single man who has assumed onerous on himself alone, shouldered the entire responsibilities of winning the elections with achieving the target 400 seats, and his feet should have touched the soils of all 543 constituencies….is UNTHINKABLE for any ordinary mortal.

(Kalaignar Karunanidhi may edge him and other than him, I couldn’t conceive anyone of PM Modi’s caliber of untiring campaigning for elections.)

The famous saying : Itsn’t OVER, until it’s OVER.

In a great epic Tamil movie “Magalir mattum”, Kamalahassan told,

“the best actor in the movie was not him but Nagesh.”

Ironically, Nagesh, in that movie, acted from starting to end as a “dead body” and not in a single scene he was alive. The Legend Nagesh had demonstrated to his fellow actors that “even as a dead body” one can score and receive audiences’ recognition.

Even after campaign was officially ended on 30th May 6 pm, no leaders in the world could have imagined, the campaign can be extended till the election day 1st June 6 pm, by having meditated @Kannyakumari.

The amazing thing about Mr. Modi is, “Till he wins, how much ever he has been guaranteed, who so ever, even the Almighty has given him the guarantee of winning, he won’t settle and push himself till he emerges as a winner .”

His Mantra : Itsn’t over, until it’s over.

Of course, on corporate parlance, Mr. Modi can be criticized for lack of TRUST in his COHORTS, lack of DELEGATION, CENTRALIZATION OF ALL POWERS with himself, estimating his own talents beyond the tolerable limits, etc….what may, Mr. Modi has achieved it. (More or less)

Sometimes, the election rhetoric and strategies, Mr. Modi has adopted along the way, especially after the 1st phase of elections such as “mangal sutra, bullocks, criticizing Tamils at Orissa, etc” are nauseating to the learned people who have been witnessing the assalts on minorities…..frowning their face whether Mr. Modi has been deviating from the path of Mahatma Gandhi’s great philosophy :

“…means are more important than ends…”

Dear Mr. Modi,

It’s wondeful to see you, as you are going to be sworn in 3rd time as the PM of the largest democracy in the world and I am sure and fully convinced that “You are DESERVED. You have WON the billions of people’s heart and presently you are the only  MERITORIOUS candidate available for this great diversified country at present” and my heartiest congratulations for the same.

The immediate challenges at your hand from the 1st day onwards:

On economic front:

(1) Unemployment – creating more jobs
(2) Converting the unemployable youths into employable by imparting skills.

On social front:

(1) You are in a position to mincing your own unpalatable words / bullets had thrown during campaign at minorities.

(2) You should make all efforts to restore the faith of the minorities by appeasing them, as after all you are the PM for the entire country that includes all minorities and after all they are our fellow brothers and sisters.

As you are nearing 75+, and this is the 3rd time, I hope your mind may be kept on lingering in reminding you about, ….

“How should I be remembered? How historisns shall evaluate me after I have gone? How can I go down in Indian history as a notable Noble PM, respected, and courteous leader?

In my opinion, only the following Prime Ministers had and shall have the positive impact in Indian history and occupied people’s mind in a good way for few centuries yet to come.

(1) Jawaharlal Nehru shall be remembered ever for his positive contributions : for having dedicated his entire life to uphold the democracy, secularism and socialism and remembered positively in Indian history and by future generations.

(2) Narasima Rao and Dr. MMS shall be remembered for their positive contributions: For having directed India during tough times by navigating India from Socialism to Capitslism.

(3) Mrs. Gandhi shall only be negatively remembered for her notorious assalt on Indian Democracy.

I hope, as usual, you might have set the highest target of surpassing all the 3 Nehru, Rao and Singh.

If so, you have lots of room to improve upon on following 3 areas.

(1) Upholding our democracy stronger and stronger that no future leaders can be a threat for the same.

(2) Upholding the SECULAR ethos by allowing minorities to live and feel safe and secure.

(3) Decentralization of powers and thus grooming leaders of tomorrow.

Thank you My PM Modiji and hope you may surpass Jawaharlal Nehru, Narasima Rao and Dr. MMS and achieved the covetous  place in Indian History and you shall be remembered for few centuries as the most impactful LEADER India has ever produced.

By announcing plethora of freebees, you have shown how desparate you guys are….and it’s a himalayan blunder you have committed was that single point agenda : OUST MODI and that might have backfired.

*How to Enjoy Life, Not Just Engineering:*

The generation known as the “90s and 2K kids” (born between the 1990s and 2000s) is, in my view, one of the most unfortunate that India has ever produced.

*They don’t enjoy music, books, or pursue long-lasting hobbies.*

*They are caught up in a culture of “fast, instant, quick, now.”*

*Engineering colleges have shifted from a focus on books to notes.*

When I hire engineers with a few years of industrial experience, they struggle with basic questions like…

*”LEAST COUNT, ACCURACY, PRECISION, FITS AND TOLERANCES, LEAD, PITCH, BACKLASH, FRICTION, etc.”*

In the beginning, I taught these basic concepts to new engineers. Over time, I started to think,

*”Does it matter if someone doesn’t know these concepts? Will it affect their survival? Probably not.”*

*”What have I gained from learning these concepts? Couldn’t I have survived like the 90s and 2K kids?”*

*Even without learning these basics, I might have reached my current status.*

*So, what’s the point of learning basic concepts in our field?*

My simple answer is that learning brings enormous pleasure, comparable to or even greater than the pleasure of an orgasm.

For example, we use “bolts and nuts” every day.

To most people, they are just simple fasteners. But for mechanical engineers, bolts and nuts are essential concepts. Many inventions, at least until a few decades ago, revolved around them.

For most, bolts and nuts just fasten two objects. For mechanical engineers, they also…

*”convert rotary motion into linear motion.”*

For example…

If you fix the NUT and rotate the BOLT, the attached object will move linearly along the bolt. If you fix the BOLT and rotate the NUT, the object will move linearly with the nut along the bolt.

Many conventional machine tools like lathes, milling machines, and drills operate using this simple concept.

To ordinary people, the automatic doors on deluxe buses are just convenient. To me, they represent the *4 BAR MECHANISM*, and I admire the designer’s ingenuity.

In conclusion, in today’s technological era, you don’t need to learn anything to live comfortably. However, if you want to truly enjoy life and derive more pleasure from it, please try to learn basic concepts not just in your field, but from various fields you encounter in life.

The kind of generation especially the so called “90’s and 2K kids (who had been born between ’90s and 2K”), most of them are the most pathetic generation that India has ever developed.

*They don’t enjoy music, nor books nor sought after higher longlasting tasteful hobbies, etc…*

*They have been plagued by “fast, instant, quick, now,” etc culture.*

*To my knowledge, it’s an era, most of the Engineering colleges have shifted from “books to notes” culture.*

Even if I recruit engineers with few years of industrial experience, they have been blinking if I ask them the very basic questions such as …

*”LEAST COUNT, ACCURACY, PRECISION, FITS AND TOLERANCES, LEAD, PITCH, BACKLASK, FRICTION, etc..”*

During initial days, I used to teach those basic concepts to the newly recruited engineers.

Over a period of time, I too have compromised myself as,

*”Yes. What’s the big deal if one doesn’t know or learn the concepts of anything? Whether it’ll impede his survival? Absolutely No.”*

*”What have I gained myself by exerting so much efforts to learn and understand those basic concepts?*

*Couldn’t have I survived like these 90s and 2K kids?”*

*Of course. There might not have been any change in my present status even if I have not learnt those basic concepts…*

…..by indulging myself with enormous quest through various learning processes such as searching for books, questioning the experts, observing various mechanisms, travelling to see few engineering marvels, etc…

*Without having learnt any of the above basic concepts related to my field, I’d have achieved the present status comfortably.*

*Then what’s the big deal about learning basic concepts in our field?*

*My simple answer is, “Enormous Pleasure one can derive through learnings, which is as equavalent or much beyond to the pleasure one derives from / through ‘ORGASM’.*

For example, we use everyday *”bolts and nuts”*.

Those are simple “bolts and nuts” for normal people, but for mechanical engineers, it’s not ordinary bolts and nuts.

*It’s the most, most, most essential concept to understand that most of the inventions (at least till few decades ago,) have been running around this basic concept of “bolts and nuts.”*

For others, bolts and nuts are useful for fastening two objects.

For mechanical engineers, it is not just fastening two objects, ….but

*”converting rotary motion into linear motion”*

*For example…*

If you fix the NUT static, and attach any objects with bolts and rotate the NUT, that object will travel linearly to the length of the bolt.

On the contrary, if you fix the bolt static and attach any objects with NUT, and rotate the bolt, that object shall travel linearly along with the nut to the length of the bolt.

All conventional machine tools such as “Lathe, Milling, Drilling and plethora of machines, appliances and technolgies” had been existent by using this single concept alone.

Foe some ordinary people, while they travel in deluxe buses, when the automatic doors open and closes, it’s just a convenience for them.

My mechanical mind used to conceptualize the *4 BAR MECHANISM”* and wonder about the designer and send  flying kisses to him.

*My conclusion is, …in the ongoing technolgical era, no one needs to learn anything and still one can live comfortably.*

*However, if anyone wants to enjoy his life, and derive more and more pleasure out of this rare wonderful life, please….try to learn the basic concepts not just in your related field, but try to learn from most of the fields you have been encountering on every walks of life.*
