….whether we any of us would have been born on this earth or whether we any of us would have children for us..

How these phenomenal cunning and intelligent genes, have developed the impetus in each one of us to advance towards the opposite sex through “Lust and desire for lust or orgasm” and thus these cunning genes have been kept on living on this earth for time immemorial in our bodies…..

The following Idea has flashed into me when I have been reading “Selfish Gene” by Richard Dawkins.

I’m sure the following Idea may be either silly for most (in my experience, every Idea used to be *SILLY* when it’s originated) or for some of the elites, it’d have been already analyzed threadbare and thwarted.

*Premise for the idea:*

It seems “social insects” species, *Kamikaze* bees used to sting the predators and got suicide itself with the higher purpose of saving it’s *bees colony.*

The Scientists’ fraternity reasoned this peculiar “SELFLESS” behaviour of bees / insects as follows:

*Most of the time this suicide mission is executed by “worker bees” and that worker bees are sterile and primarily responsible for tasks such as caring for the colony and foraging for food, the behavior of kamikaze stinging isn’t exclusive to them. Both worker bees and queen bees can sting predators in defense of the colony.*

*However, worker bees are more commonly encountered outside the hive, so they are more likely to engage in defensive stinging.*

*Queen bees, on the other hand, typically remain inside the hive and are less likely to encounter predators.*

*Additionally, because the queen’s reproductive role is vital to the survival of the colony, she is less likely to engage in risky behaviors that could result in her death, such as stinging. Instead, her primary focus is on laying eggs and ensuring the colony’s reproductive success.*

*IDEA floated for perusal:*

*Why shouldn’t armies or war prone countries INDUCT the third genders of our – human species in armies, defence or for such purposes?*

Their day-to-day life is so pathetic (at least in India) and they are forced to be involved in immoral activities.

Though few Indian state governments and the NGOs have taken various efforts to upskilling the 3rd gender, *I haven’t come across at least Indian Government put efforts to induct in armies.*

*With the advent of digital technology, it may not be difficult to train them in defence of any countries and that would turn out to be a more honourable life for them.*

After having watched “Manjumel boys”, I was so obsessed to watch “Guna” movie once again since I had felt I might be too innocent to grasp the content of the same during 1991.

After having watched “Guna” now, I developed the *bitter feeling* on Kamalahassan whom my adorable actor that…..

*what has been driving this “fellow” (sorry for the derogatory word usage) to enter into politics?*

*What an Artist Kamal is! Possessed Rare talents, enviable features, ability to dedicate everything to Arts!!!!*

Some of his epic movies like Nayakan, Mahanadhi, Kurudhippunal, Hey Ram….any ordinary actors including Rajinikanth, Amithab Bachhan,  Sharuk khan etc could imagine even in their wild dreams?

*What had driven him to enter into dirty politics?*

Whether Fame? Can he be more famous in politics than in cinema?

*Whether obsessed with legacy? Is it possible for anyone to leave positive legacy in politics than Arts?*

How may kings, Presidents, Ministers, Prime Ministers, Dictators had come and gone? Can any of these youngsters be aware of Charan Singh or Gulzarilal Nandha who had been “The Prime Ministers of India” once…

*Can any one of them have Lived Longer in history than Poets like Valmiki, Kamban, Milton or Play writers like Shakespeare or scientists like Newton, Darwin, etc…*

I used to think about Buffett or Gates that why haven’t they thrown their hats into American Presidential candidature for the kind of respects and adulations they command even today….

*Why haven’t they (Buffett or Gates..) attracted even after one of their contemporary notorious businessmen Trump became American President?*

If Trump could do, it’d have been a cakewalk for Buffett or Gates…

Whether Jawaharlal Nehru or Rajaji or CN Annadurai could leave better legacy than Mahatma Gandhi or Periyar EVR who had not involved themselves in electoral politics?

It’s not only Kamalahassan who had been bitten by this giant politics bug and carried the ugly face till their death once chucked out, but started from the legend Shivaji Ganesan, the great musician Ilayaraja, Rajinikanth and recently Vijay….

*I wonder What has been leading this highly conscious human species to commit point blank blunders knowingly in day-to-day life?*

One sage said, *”It isn’t over, until it’s over!!”*

*Until human dies, one can’t write EULOGY about anyone as it’s the most crap crazy species ever exists in this universe!!!*

*Innovative practice adopted by one of the marriage catering services @ Chennai:*

*One of the ways of measuring one’s intelligence is his ability to observe the innovative practices used in other disciplines and adapt the same to his own field.*

I happened to attend one traditional orthodox marriage party yesterday and thus pure vegetarian table meals was served in a long banana leaf.

That marriage hall’s capacity was about 8 long rows facing opposite X 40 people can sit at a stretch.

They started with spreading banana leaves, then a set of servers formed a queue and placed the “deserts, starters,  vegetables, sidedish, etc of about 7 or 8 items” on the other side of the leaves.

Then few people started placing main course items such as “roti, idiappam, pulav, variety rices, etc on the main side of the leaves.”

It’s obvious, after few minutes, few items get exhausted in our leaf usually and few items we may want to have more in any parties if it’s not a Buffet system and served as a table meals.

Most of the time, we may feel awkward to call for specific items as that particular server may be far away.

Or we can convey the message to nearby standing server who may carry the other bucket, and he may shout on our behalf to call the server who hold the specific bucket in hand.

*Innovative practices: at least for me as I’ve never observed so far:*

Imagine 8 rows have been formed with 4 long passages. After few minutes of the main course serving started (or else during appropriate time when people may exhaust few items or want for few items to complete their dinner) 4 mobile trolleys have entered  in each passages.

That trolley was driven / pushed manually by one and one assistant server walked along with the trolley.

*That trolley has consisted of all the items served in both sides of the leaf except starters and deserts is a great surprise for me as I’ve never seen or imagined in my lifetime.*

*Though we have witnessed such arrangements in our “shop floors” environment where canteen servers used to carry tea, coffee and vada in 3 or 4 drums, I never imagined that canteen setup used in shop floor can be adapted beautifully to serve in marriage party which required to meet any one of those 6 to 8 items at a time and it’s a great lesson for me.*

*8.4% GDP growth: How Statistics can deceive you if you don’t dig into details:*

I was suprised pleasantly to see the stock market had been surged 1000+ points few days ago….

Then I reasoned out that the GDP data for +8.4% for 3rd quarter FY:23-24 was released just then.

Then I got shocked when I reflected my company’s performance that decreased by (-)20% in sales for 11 months of FY:23-24 compared with last year performance and the national growth of 8.5% though for 3rd quarter alone.

Of course, my company is the tiniest to compare with few trillion Indian economy, at least I’d have been happy If I maintained neutral.

Then I contacted few of my OEM clients to understand whether they had changed their supplier?

All of them have given me upfront guarantee that they’re with me only and they too had been roughly down by 12 to 15% sales when compared with last year performance.

*Then where I’m or my customers or GDP data had gone wrong?*

*How Statistics can deceive you upfront:*

(1) *Simple arithmatics:*
The difference between last 3rd quarter and this 3rd quarter is roughly, *simply 0.35%.* (4.7% current, 4.35 previous FY 3rd quarter)

Any percentage figures can be inflated without increasing numerator, but decreased denominator.
((4.7- 4.35)/4.35) = 8%+ is the GDP growth announced.

(2) *What is healthy economy?*

To have a healthy economy, GDP has 4 components viz, (1) higher consumption demand, (2) Private Investments growth, (3) minimum Government spending (4) positive net exports / imports.

To the utter dismay, (1), (2) and (4) have been more or less neutral when compared with 3rd quarter of last year.

*Only item #3 – Government spending on “infrastructure has touched the roof in the pre quarter election time.*

*Then how did the Government fund for “infrastructure spending”?*

Government has funded infrastructure spending by stopping the fertilizer subsidy.

*Let’s understand from layman’s view of the above two implications:*

(1) *Government spending:*
Any nation’s economy to be considered healthy, “Government spending” should be minimum similar to the glass of water poured to release the air-lock in Hand-pump with the intention of drawing out more water – private investments to be picked up, but it’s not happened yet and more or less, it’s neutral when compared with last 3rd quarter.

(2) *Stopping Fertilizer subsidy:*
Consider there are 2 sons in a family, one is to undergo for cardiac surgery. The another one is having very promissing business idea that may pour lots of money in the future.

Cutting subsidy and spending on infrastructure is as equivalent as above.

I leave it to the readers to decide…..what is the right strategy?

*Disclaimer: If anyone have any intention to watch, please…don’t read further as it’s going to have some spoilers.*

(Readers’ Mind voice : Even then we never read beyond 2 lines of yours.😢)

My humble salute to the director of this movie is not because for directing this movie, *but for his apt reference of a Tamil movie “Guna” and connected Kamalahassan, who is the most irrational optimist I’ve ever found in Tamil cinema.*( though he claims himself as Rational man.)

It may not be a great movie if you expect any thriller, crime, comedy, erroticism, divine love, etc…

*I’d have gone and searching for the director to touch his feet, if he had made the reference of “Vikram Batra – Kargil war martyr” in place of “Guna – Kamalahassan.”*

It’s a bare simple story about a 10 members crew from Kerala – Manjilmel, has been picnicing @ Kodaikanal, and one of their friends had slipped into *”devils’ pit or Guna caves”* which is about 900 ft deep.

There’s not even iota of 0.000000001% of chance to retrive his body and police has been driving out the rest of the crew home.

*(During this scene, I fit mentally myself into that situation and questioned me what would I do if I were one of them?. Obviously, I’d have brought all my rationality theories, probability theories, base rates, Baysian formula, fate, Karma, etc and convincing the rest of my team to vacate that place.)*

However, rest of all 7+ had been persisted not to go at least without his corpse.

*Even the trained “fire service crew” were not ready to go into that 1000 ft caves, and one of them from friends’ crew had volunteered and brought him alive.*

As someone aptly told, *”…the kind of world we see and enjoy today not all because of rationalists people who lived or living ( like Warren Buffet, Rajinikanth, etc…) but because of the innumerable irrational optimists who laid their lives (such as start up Entrepreneurs like Elan Musk, Vikram Batra – kargil martyr, Kamalahassan, etc….)*

*I may say, we, rational people 99% are afford to be rational, because we have been standing on the millions of irrational optimists’ corspses and enjoying this beautiful world.*

I can also say, Elon Musk is an entrepreneur; Warren Buffet is the rational CAPITALIST who reaps the benefits of Elon Musk kinds.

Kamalahassan is the irrational movie maker; Rajinikanth is the beneficiary.

Vikram Batra is the real patriot. All politicians are suckers of the efforts of Vikram Batra’s.

*PUSH Vs PULL – Newton’s 3rd law – Patient Vs Visitor:*

Recently I took a short trip with my four decades old friend. During that trip, he had been kept on sulking about his wife’s health issues and how she had been suffering for coping up with few simple things.

After returning home, I told my wife about his sulking and we should visit her in few days. (that trip would consume a half day during business days.)

As usual for the office going 50+ women’ nature, my wife was reluctant to sit in a car for few hours amidst dense traffic and pushed the trip for few days.

On one fine day, I categorically told her, “We are visiting her today” and we did. *During that visit, both (his wife and my wife) of them had been kept on cursing their respective husbands’ and because of him/them I/we had been landing into health issues.*

*I could literally see how both of their eyes had been glowing, mouth muscles were extending beyond the limits for grinning while cursing their respective husbands’ irresponsible attitude towards their health and family.*

Just a couple of months ago, my wife had been suffering with health issues that had been few times more severe than the lady we had visited couple of weeks ago.

*Few days ago, it’s my wife’s turn for sulking at me, “When  I had been bedridden for few weeks, no man or woman had visited me….bla…bla…”.*

In life, whatever you do, there shall be two reactions : 
(1) External benefits / Consequences.
(2) Internal benefits / Consequences.

*During late ’80s, Indian Congress Leaders used to boast about their leader Mrs. Indira Gandhi as: What a courteous lady she was! – When her 2nd son, Sanjay Gandhi was into helicopter crash, it seems Mrs. Gandhi had visited the co-pilot’s wife and offered consolation before Sanjay Gandhi’s last rites were waiting to be finished.*

During that time, I used to wonder, how Mrs. Indira was so strong and courteous.

However, after having been evolving myself through reading of few evolutionary psychological books, I have concluded Mrs. Indira’s action as follows:

(1)Being the top leader of the largest democratic country of India, she had to demonstrate that she’s courteous and strong as ever to the External world – towards ordinary citizens and foreign countries.

(2) *At the same time, she had to tell herself, pep herself, motivate herself, develop a positive feeling for herself as a leader, compose herself internally that she shouldn’t be CAVED-IN internally.*

The same thing, I told my wife, *”I took youforcibly, not for his wife’s sake alone, but for your welfare too.”*

*By visiting any patient, the psychological advantage the visitors gain is much more than the visitee gain as follows.*

(1) *When you are offering consolation to the other, you gain confidence internally that you’re far better off and you will start feeling healthier than his wife as well as healthier than your previous state.*

(2) *You yourself get reminded that you have to take care off your health in coming days, as you / we / most don’t desire anyone visting us during you’re sick.*

I conclude this write up with the great Tamil poet Kannadasan’s couplet:

*”Visit if someone is in sick-bed. Even if that patient is not grateful, at least that disease shall be grateful to you ever.”*
