If I REFLECT on the concept of “BEING”, I’ll be obliged to introduce the opposite concept, that of “NOTHING.”

You can’t reflect on your existence without immediately realizing that you won’t always exist.

The tension between “BEING” and “NOTHING” becomes resolved in the concept of “BECOMING”.

1 day before night of your journey date :

(1) Whether you have organized all the required medicines in your travel kit?

(2) Whether you have arranged your pick-up – drop – pick-up from your residence and at your destination?

On the journey date:

(1) Have you done your last minute pickups such as mobile chargers, laptop + chargers, etc..

(2) Whether your driver/ OLA knocks at your door 2 hours before your train / flight departure time?

(3) Have you checked your gas switched off, AC plug knocked off and promptly waiting for your driver as ready to lock the door?

(3) After reached the station / Airport, have you purchased water bottles, snacks, tiffin etc and promptly settled in your seat and looking forward to TTR well before train started?

(4) During your entire stay, whether you could easily locate for all the most essentials from your luggage such as tooth brush, paste, oil, perfume, shaving kit, towel, makeup kit, etc.. without depending upon your relatives or friends…?

Conclusion :

If you say YES, to at least 75%, don’t feel positive about yourself and proud as if you’re “WELL ORGANIZED.”

The above test is not meant to find about you’re well organized…

It’s the test to find out whether you’re AGED gracefully…

Results:

If you say YES to most, then you’re 50+..

If you say yes to most and still you’re in 30s, or 40s, then you’re pity human being as your body is getting aged more than normal.

If you say NO to most and still you’re 50+, it means your Mental maturity is far lower than your body aging.

*Have the present generation 25+ OUTGROWN the previous generation 55+ in every aspects?*

I have been personally witnessing a weird trend over a decade that the present 55+ parents have shrunk themselves viz..their size, their disciplinarian attitude, dominance, authority etc over their wards once their wards have got campus placements with awesome salary package or going abroad.

One of my childhood buddies have shed uncontrollable tears once his son got placed…saying…

*”I’ve never cracked any interviews in my lifetime; my son’s present salary is far superior to my present salary, …till yesterday I had been very doubtful about my son whether he’s watching good contents in mobile, whether he’s good friends’ circle, etc….but now I’ve felt guilt what a grave mistake I’ve committed so far….by doubting my great knowledgeable son…”*

*Scene 2 : during 1978 to 1984:*

During late 70s, when I was studying 5th, 6th…standards, we used to visit my paternal uncle’s residence during summers.

During all these visits, my dad used to be a proud man, who seemed to be overenthused as he’s visiting his elder brother who had been looking upto by his entire family of brothers and parents.

My dad’s brother was the one who had bailed out his entire family of brothers from poverty to educating everyone by he got himself educated first, by becoming the first engineering graduate, being the first government employee, owning a car with driver, possession of TV and fridge during ’80s…

As he’s working as a PWD engineer, who used to be transferred once in 2/3 years and my dad’s first visit would be invariably helping his brother to organaize things for his family in a new location.

My dad’s next visit usually to his brother’s residence would be with all of us – my mom, me and my brother to all these new locations.

*During these all visits, my dad used to flaunt about his brother’s command @ his government office, about his driver, about his color of the car, described about the taste of chilled water, how the taste of mangoes would be increased multi-folded after having kept it in the fridge for few hours, how his tape recorder blurted out songs, etc…

During all these visits, my typical teacher mother would be kept on telling me or rather nudging me as “you too should become engineer like him, own the car like him, etc…”

*Scene 3 : From late ’90s to 2010*

My mom’s eyes used to be moistened everytime when I had finished my graduation, when I got job in Tatas, when I had bought car, etc …..

…and my mom proudly used to narrate all those incidents to my wife and to innumerable relatives and friends that “how my son has achieved…”

*During all these times, I used to feel highly embarrassed and nudge my mother and say the following…..*

*Whether I have really OUTGROWN my Paternal Uncle?*

What a foolish yardstick my mom has been using – by comparing the material things A to a, B to b, …..

*I used to tell my mom that “one shouldn’t evaluate the 2 generations based on comparing material possessions….”*

My uncle was living in top 10 percentile quarter in every aspects amongst his colleages and relatives…such as when he had owned his car, there was only 10 percentile of his peers and relatives owned; when he had owned TV, he’s in top 10 percentile; when he’s affordable for a driver, it’s only 10 percentile did.

*Had I owned Robot today for our household work, had I owned few patents in my name, I could claim that I have done something in comparing to my predecessors.*

*(Of course, no one needs to outgrown anyone and each of us are UNIQUE in certain way and any types of comparisons would lead to stressful and unhealthy life, yet, we sometimes need some BENCHMARKS to motivate ourselves and thus comparisons can’t me eliminated once for all from anyone’s life.)*

Lesson :

(1) Of course, our children are doing well. They have started with a successful note. They don’t need to fight for survival as we did.

(2) That doesn’t mean, we should be subservient to them by shrinking ourselves. We shouldn’t lose our entire grip or authority over them.

(2) Still, they need our invaluable guidance from our 50+ years of worldly life in various areas (other than profession) such as constructing healthy family, upbringing their children, take care of their physical and mental health, etc…

(3) Even our children are not expecting us to be subservient to them and they certainly feel highly emarassed. They never feel that they have arrived in life by getting campus placements or going abroad.

(4) Their life is much more complex than ours and thus they know they have to travel long to feel “arrived”.

(5) Till then our sincere inputs and reasonable authority from our side are much needed for them.

*SCENE 1: May 2022*

I have been part of the 10 member ELITIST group (presumably??) over a decade.

During the last year May 2022, when our group met for a monthly meet after a long gap of 6 months, I had been vocal and critical about the performance of the group as….

*”I have a feeling that our group members have been gradually losing interest and no one cares about adding value to the group … bla… bla…”.*

To my utter shock and dismay, rest of the 9 had pounced at me simultaneously….all the 9 had consecrated themselves as JUDGES, (I was not left with even single advocate who can listen to any merits in my accusations) and thrown unanimous verdict at me as if I had committed a HENIOUS crime….that I need to correct myself by not expecting always something or the other in a materialistic way….

At the end of the meet, I felt very small on myself, I had been into “highly distressed mood” for over a month by having questioned myself,

*”Why I’m alone having different belief from rest of the 9?”*

*”Why can’t I be aligning myself with the group’s popular notion of the “everything is fine with the group?””*

*SCENE 2: APRIL 2023*

It’s almost a year, since our above said elite group have met.

I have been reading a book “Sophie’s world” and it’s a book about 2500 years “History of Philosopy” with a caption of….

*”He who cannot draw on the three thousand years, is living from hand to mouth”* –by Goethe.

*SOCRATES: 470 – 399 BC*

*In the year 399 BC, Socrates was accused of “questioning the then popularly held notion of the God at that point in time” and was condemed to drink a poison.*

*Socrates assured the jury that he had only acted in the best interests of the state and then killed himself.*

*Jesus Christ: AD 0 – AD 33:*

*Jesus Christ was put into CROSS, for expressing himself against the then popular belief and having preached “SALVATION and God’s FORGIVENESS to everyone.”*

*These two too had been hit by pellets and stones, and shunned away from the state, by the then vested interests groups of priests for questioning the popular belief of “whether EARTH was the center of the universe?”*

History always have been constituted with the two kinds of groups of people.

One group constitutes 99% who stand together and tightly hold the popular beliefs and the other group constitutes less than 1% who tend to question the popular belief and those would be mocked and ridiculed as JOKERS / CLOWNS / SINNERS by the first group.

That’s why, they give utmost importance to the decoration of their Deities with flowers, jewelry, doing abishekam, and much more.

*The most important sense for SEMITES was HEARING among other senses:*

SEMITES – It’s originated in Arabian peninsula around 2000 years ago.

Judaism, Christianity and Islam – share Semitic background.

It’s no accident that the Jewish creed begins with the words : “Hear, O Israel”.

“Hearing” the word of God is also emphasized in Christianity. The religious ceremonies of Christianity, Judaism, and Islam are all characterized by “READING ALOUD” or “RECITING”.

They were not supposed to create pictures or sculptures of God or deity. This is just LAW even today for both Judaism and Islam.

Within Islam there is moreover a general aversion to both photography and art because people should not compete with God in “creating” anything.

In the Greek orthodox church – in Greece and in Russia – sculptures and crucifixes from Bible stories are still forbidden.

These three western religions (differs from the other indo- European great religions) emphasize that there’s a distance between God and creation.

The purpose is not to be released from the cycle of rebirth, but to be redeemed from sin and blame.

Their religious life is more characterized by prayer, sermons and the study of the scriptures than having emphasized by Indo – European religion – self communication and meditation.

Whether it’s worth watching? Whether it’s a family watching movie?

Though this movie is an amazing watch, it’s not meant for normal movie goers but for *”movie connoisseurs”*

*Takeaway from:*

#1 : Director Vetrimaran:

He’s the sort of a guy who may dedicate his each and every cell, bone, flesh of his body for *”movie making”*. It seems he’s the kind of “gene” in a story of *”Alavdin and his magic lamp”* when it comes to execution of his creation.

#2: *Ilayaraja:* He’s the real MASTERO of Music world and all the other Music genius including ARR, can’t match this God of Music either in background score or in melodies.

#3: *Hero Suri*(Parotta Suri)

*What a transformation from comedian to serious Hero!!!*

Amazing, I’ve felt guilty of how sophisticated life, we kind of engineers have been leading without any physical or mental strain. Shame!!! Shame!!!

*Plot of the movie:*

It’s a hardcore political movie and the issue discussed is widespread among entire world of countries.

*4 prong plot:*

#1: Ruling Nationalist Party who have been always aspiring towards the development of the nation at any cost – at the cost of natural resources and small sections of dwellers who have been residing in and around hilly and forest areas.

#2: Ploice atrocities in favour of implementing the government policies without humanity.

#3: Naxals who emerge from those small sections of people who are bound to be victims if those policies were implemented.

#4: Few sympathizers from Ploice to support Naxals and few haters of Naxals are in support of the government.

*It’s full of serious but prodigious movie to watch along with family.*

*No vulgarity but full of violence.*

I have developed immense hope on you the way you had shown immense grit and determination since Bharat Jodo Yatra. *But You’re not.*

I were of the opinion that you had gained reasonable political knowledge and you’d turn out to be a seasoned politician like your great grandfather Jawaharlal Nehru. *But You’re not.*

Time and again you tend to prove that you have inherited majority of genes from your grandma Indira Gandhi and we don’t want the same as we have already had the reincarnation of Indira Gandhi in her place.

*I am highly disappointed the way, you had unnecessarily dragged “Savarkar” after the Surat court’s conviction and 2 year sentence verdict.*

This would have been the simplest case if you haven’t publicly proclaimed that
*”I’m not savarkar to seek apology”*…

… and thus put every seniors and lawyers of congress into trouble.

*Had you been expressed regrets and conveyed it’s only about 3 Modis and not all, then you might have been acquitted or it’d be simple process for the senior congress lawyers.*

*Now all seniors of congress and advocates shall have to focus on legal issues and bailing you out rather than focusing on core electoral issues such as unprecedented unemployment, unusual inflation, Chinese encroachment, Adani issues, integrating regional parties to discuss about coalition arrangements for 2024 etc…*

If you’re a seasoned politician, you’d embrace all regional parties by understanding their core sentiments and talk only relevant.

Unnecessarily, you antoganize Uddav Thakre and the other anti Modi leaders by your reckless words.

*What’s the necessity for you to talk about the “gone man” Savarkar? Then What’s the difference between you and Pragya Thakre kinds of Gandhi abusers?*

*If you don’t express your regrets who have been hurt by your action, then What’s the difference between you and the then CM of Gujarat who had not expressed his regrets to Gujarat’s victims?*

*To succeed in politics, you should decide who’s your exact enemy?*

Entrepreneurs’ dilemma during every financial year ending:

All Indian Entrepreneurs have been left out with just a week’s time before the FY:22-23 comes to an end.

It’s the time, most of the Indian Entrepreneurs have been brooding over efficient CAPITAL ALLOCATION for their firm.

First determine yourself who you want to be:

Say, if one has 50K surpluses, how he allocates that 50K, determines who he is!

1: If he purchases an upgraded machinery or tools using that 50K, he’s a PURE CAPITALIST.

2: If he divides that 50K equally to all his workforce, then he’s a pure COMMUNIST.

3: If he uses that 50K for providing his employees with better environment such as good toilets, airy atmosphere, etc, then he’s a SOCIALIST.

4: If he uses that 50K to upgrade himself by going for better car, mobile, land for his personal use, etc…then he’s a FASCIST.

5: If one does mixture of all 4, then who is he?

My reply : POLITICIANS.

Of course, every entrepreneur is to some extent, he’s a shrewd politician too.

However, the above 4 situations are PURISTS of that particular category and in practical world, no one can be affordable to be PURIST.

So all entrepreneurs are mixture of all 4, though not exactly equally but varied proportions on all 4 categories.

Depending upon the % of allocation, deciding which forms of socialist whether more of capitalists oriented or communists or fascist oriented.

It’s how one allocates capital determines the life of the firm.

All entrepreneurs are provided with knives and golden goose simultaneously. It’s upto every entrepreneur how he handles that KNIFE either for improving the life of golden goose by maintaining or killing it.

We 3 of us have been friends since 1984, not simply interacting once in a blue moon but over 20s of family tours, over 100s of bachelor trips, plethora of financial exchanges as a hand lian started from Rs100s during 1984 to few lakhs till yesterday simply by just word of mouth without keeping any written records till date, etc
