*Human Psychology Vs Why and How the movie “VIKRAM” is incredibly SUCCESSFUL?*
🙏Ramu🙏2/7/2022
I watched the Vikram movie on 5th day as soon as I had landed up in USA on the same day with my son-in-law who had already watched it on 2nd day and he was very eager to take me.
I casually told him after coming home, *”I need to watch once more after returning to India”* and may do so today.
Suddenly I noticed my rare behavior that in recent times, I hardly watched any movies second time, but this movie created some urge in me to watch once more.
Obviously, despite this movie being neither had a great content , nor any grandeur nor any emotional stuffs nor seductive scenes😛 but full of violences.
*Still why had it not only me but also as my son-in-law urged to watch 2nd time?*
During 2010, I had conducted a “House warming ceremony” for the house I bought at deep interior streets of Velacherry.
*During those time, we were equipped neither with smartphones nor with Google maps nor even with Whatsapp.*
We all of us may be aware of the facts that House warming ceremony used to happen before dawn and ours was between 4.30 AM and 5.30 AM and thus it’s extremely difficult for the visitors and close relatives to inquire the whereabouts from publics.
So, I personally SKETCHED an ELEGANT and SIMPLE map, (I am a Mechanical engineer😛. It’s far superior to today’s Google maps) mentioned all the small streets, landmarks, to be skipped lanes, to be ascertained whether they’re on right track etc and printed the same on the invitation card.
While we were sitting before “Agni – fire” @ 5 AM, our house was thronged by over 200+ visitors and I got enthralled to witness the same.
When I got up after puja, and started attending my guests, I could invariably find *”some sort of extreme happiness and some sense achievement in each one of their faces”*…
*…and expressed the same with so much enthusiasm that…*
*”We have never asked anyone for route. Just followed the map and here we are!!!.”*
*The talk of all the visitors was only about “how they reached the home rather than how’s my home.”*
*What I could realize about human psychology on that day was,…*
*”PEOPLE NEED SMALL CHALLENGES IN THEIR DAILY CHORES to feel proud and happy about themselves.”*
*Exactly the SIMILAR style has been adopted in this movie by the young director Lokesh Kanagaraj in terms of “NARRATION” or in cinematic language “SCRIPT WRITING.”*
*He hasn’t filled all the gaps by the way of impeccable narration, but by the way of removing few pieces of his “JIGSAW” puzzles ….*
*and allowed the audiences to arrange the missing pieces of his JIGSAW puzzle – Vikram movie.*
*When the audiences could decode some areas they felt happy and proud of themselves.*
When others pointed out some other missing pieces, the audiences who hadn’t noticed the same had been eager to watch and experience the “ORGASM” themselves.
Then they feel proud and have been enthusiastic to explain their prowessness to the others and thus it added advantage for the movie by *”WOM – Word of Mouth”*.
This is the same trick used by consumer behaviour experts, marketing and advertisement specialists do to seduce the poor people like the way worms to bait the FISH.
*Decodingly yours,*
🙏Ramu🙏
Nithya – Anand – Eulogy for having received medal from central minister
Dear Nithya,
I always think whenever I happen to see both of you (Anand), as you are one of the very few most BLESSED women to own a person like Anand who has been such a humble man to the core, shy, and UNASSUMING personality.
In our patriarchal society, most of the women get their freedom and rights even from their families only after encountering bitter fights.
In your case, Anand has always been willingly encouraging you to venture.
Whenever I happen to meet Anand, my mind invariably thinks of whether this fellow had ever been jealous, bad tempered, bad mouthed, sulky, saying NO to anyone etc…
He’s not part of any of the group I am in. I have never used to call him so far. However, he used to call me occasionally and talked lot (for his nature, it’s LOT😛😛) about my taste for movies, my videos, writings, etc..and recommend to watch certain movies and web series forcibly (I hope, he never forces anyone to do anything) and ready to provide his passwords if I don’t have that OTT subscription and advise me not to spend money on subscribing that OTT for this sake.
I don’t think, he’d take that much freedom on anyone and that attitude of his, I used to feel honoured.
All these qualities of Anand put together has been compounded over these years and blossomed into ACHIEVE this much honour of receiving ACCOLADE from the hand of highly educated, another unassuming central minister.
I always ADMIRE ANAND and jealous of his qualities and wishing him *”LET THIS RECOGNITION BEING RESET HIS AXIS TO ORIGIN AGAIN.*”
My wishes to both of your daughters too.
I should always grateful to you Nithya personally fir your encouraging words for every piece of writings, videos, audios, etc, timely advises / tips and taking FREEDOM at me and admonishing me whenever I slip from basic etiquette of friendship.
Lovingly ever,
Ramu
Man is a social animal? Still holds good???
*”Man is a social animal?”, whether still it holds good?*
🙏Ramu🙏25/6/2022
Few months ago, when I had quit from various small fringe Whatsapp groups, Some of my wellwishers had a real concern and posed a question to me as,..
*”Don’t you think – Man is a social animal?”* and the same cliche?😝 was posed by different people of different nature.
Then I started thinking of whether still “Man is a social animal” HOLDS GOOD? and started contemplating how and when this “phrase” would have originated?
Probably, when we had been hunter-gatherers, plenty of millennium ago, we would have been lived as “small, small TRIBES of say maximum of 50 or so.”
It’s highly mandatory to live as a TRIBE, otherwise we might have been exterminated by wild animals, landslides, flood, or even by strangers of other tribes.
In those circumstances, for a pure survival purpose, we had been entirely dependent not only physical but by emotionally too on other human beings.
During those times, coexistence could only be possible via cooperation. During that time, some wisemen like Thiruvalluvar kind of sages would have used that “Phrase” to emphasize the importance of “COOPERATION FOR COEXISTENCE.”
Then later, when we had been transformed from hunters to agriculturists, this small TRIBE of 50 was replaced by small community of few hundreds to thousands.
During that time onwards, we might have started forming few circles around ourselves for emotional dependent, materials dependent, traders dependent etc…and thus emotional dependency towards entire group had been diluted and confined to very very few of immediate circle, which may be of close family members only.
When Industrial era had been emerged, when STATES, GOVERNMENTS, LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANIES, BANKS, COURTS, etc..had been on the way,….
….our dependency such as TRUST, LOYALTY, etc but except EMOTIONAL ATTACHMENT, CONSOLATIONS etc towards other human beings had been shifted to governments, banks, etc..
When 100% dependency on other human beings and tribes when we had been hunters had been diluted to the meager amount say 20% to 30% of emotional dependency, looking forward to shoulder, consolations etc…during the Industrial era of around AD 1600 onwards…
When we had migrated from Industrial era to IT era, the advent of Internet have started diluting the emotional dependency on other human beings of close circle to very large wide circle.
For example, we had been hunters, we had habituated to do trading, offering consolations, lending help during tough time etc and thus loyalty, trust, love etc had been blossomed had been diluted after the presence of strong governments, courts, banks, etc…
The advent of social media revolution, have thrown series of opportunities to go way from emotional dependency on *KNOWN to UNKNOWN* humans like the way, Industrial revolution had helped doing businesses from *KNOWN to UNKNOWN*.
Finally, this COVID-19 pandemic removed the last straw or put the last nail to the coffin of *MAN IS A SOCIAL ANIMAL* by keeping each one of us incarcerated for months together and keeping contacts with other social animals towards ZOOM, YOUTUBE, WHATSAPP, etc…
*I am not arguing that “Man no longer required other humans.”*
However, I argue, emotional and materialistic dependency for survival had been kept on diminished to the level to …
“First 2 circles around each one of us have been pushed to 3rd or 4th circles and thus one can live comfortably without seeking for shoulder or consolations etc…only from LONG KNOWN people.
Whether it’s healthy? Time has to reveal. However people have changed a lot by seeking more and more of a privacy, not revealing their vulnerability, try to act politically correct from every one including close groups.
Conclusion:
Still “Man is a social animal” holds good but not to my friends’ context of “hunter gathers” era..
They want to be “social animals” for their convenience.
Whether I like this development? No. I absolutely hate it.
*Socially yours,*

Myth about SIP and BUY equities @ low and thus AVERAGING
*Some myths about SIP investments and BUY equities @ LOW and thus AVERAGING down:*
🙏Ramu🙏22/6/2022
I find most of the financial advisers, financial consultants and youtubers suggesting their clients TWO things invariably….
*… as if it’s PANACEA for generating high returns*
as follows.
(1) In Mutul Fund investments, they suggest SIP for long-term to generate high positive RETIRNS.
(2) For equity, When market falls, they suggest BUYING more shares @ LOW prices and thus AVERAGING down to generate high positive returns.
*To me, it seems ABSURD, though I am not principally against it.*
*However, amateur investors believe that SIP and BUY shares at LOW and thus AVERAGE down will result in SUPERIOR returns and that’s absurd.*
For example, when market is moving up continously for 3 years, and my SIP is ₹50,000 per month, at the end of the 3rd year, my corpus would be of 36 x 50k = 18L
From 37th month if markets starts falling, and I continue to invest ₹50K every month,..
*… it will have positive impact only for this ₹50K alone but that previous 18L will suffer negative returns.*
*That means, after certain point in time, my previous SIP investments acts as if a LUMPSUM.*
*One should REALIZE:*
*Your current SIP investments during downturn will not create any SIGNIFICANT positive impacts or positive returns neither on your previous investments nor on your entire portfolio.*
*So if someone thinks, if he invests through SIP, he would never lose money, and generate superior returns, then it’s utter foolishness of his part as well as his financial consultants part too.*
*One should realize:*
(1) Of course, SIP brings JUST discipline and automation and nothing more.
(2) It’s nothing to do with generating superior RETURNS.
(3) It will have superior returns ONLY for that downward time of investment AMOUNT alone and not for the entire portfolio.
(4) If your portfolio has 1Cr worth before downward trend started, ….
….and during downward time, if you invest 5L, when market reverses upward,…
*… that 5L alone will produce superior returns and that will result in least impact or insignificant returns compared to the 1Cr worth of portfolio.*
Same is the case for purchasing equity during downward time and AVERAGING down.
For example, if I already have 5000 shares of TCS @average of ₹4000 is equivalent to ₹2 Cr.
When TCS falls down to ₹3,000, even if you invest 6 lacs, 200 numbers @3000…
…. it will bring down your total average only from previous ₹4000 to ₹3960 only …
*and thus you had still at loss of ₹960 per share instead ₹1000 per share.*
So, DON’T BLINDLY AVERAGE with a perception of you are AVERAGING it and thus you are going to generate superior returns, then you’re going to be disappointed.
*TO BE REALIZED:*
(1) Investments is a continous lifelong journey and one should inculcate a discipline in investing all through life, whenever one has SURPLUSES.
(2) Though SIP and AVERAGING may not create superior returns over long-term, it’s a way of discipline and staggered way of investments to create a big corpus.
Wishing you great investments journey lifelong.
*Investingly yours,*

My Uncle Vs Kamal – Vikram – money making
*My mentor Father-in-law, Actor Kamal – Vikram 300Cr movie, Warren Buffet – On Money Making:*
🙏Ramu🙏17/6/2022
My Uncle is presently 77 years old, who had landed in Chennai with a strong ambition of *Becoming an entrepreneur during 1967.*
Since then, he had his hands on into 20+ odd small businesses starting from hardware stores to canteen in cinema theater, real estate business, film releases, gum tape factory, machine shop, etc..
Despite doing plenty of businesses, he could not succeed in any of the businesses in a big level as…
*… he had ventured into each and every businesses with plenty of partnerships varied from 6 to 10.*
*In some businesses, he came out with breakeven, in some with huge losses and in some with meager money due to real estate valuation.*
*When I got married to his daughter, he was around in late 40s, and almost into retirement as he had felt, “enough is enough.”*
Suddenly he had sensed some business opportunity, as he was releived from daughter’s marriage, he had plunged himself once again…
*…but this time, with a more resolute fixed BIG BET of his 50% networth and damn sure about going “sole proprietorship and absolutely going with NO PARTNERS.”*
He had mustered all his past experiences put together into his new start-up, …
…. such as so far gained prompt business acumen, human psychology, labors psychology, industrial dynamism, dealing with government authorities, clear analysis of his strength and weaknesses, built an excellent team, sharing profits with key personnel, ….
…..in just a decade, he had been going on spree of MINTING MONEY in just 10 years and got himeself retired in his 60 and enjoying his life in other pursuits of life even to this moment.
*As similar as my Uncle..*
*Actor Kamal has done exactly in his “VIKRAM” movie, learnt from his past experiences, avoided all negatives, built a powerful team, sharing screen space with everyone to his contrary nature, giving freedom to youngsters and ….*
*….most, most, most, most importantly….*
(1) *HE HAD PRODUCED THIS FILM – OWNER FOR 100% PROFITS.*
(2) *PRODUCED not a small budget film, but of a big, very BIG pan India film – scaling for the huge profits..*
….and thus he had capitalized all his past failures, experiences, lessons, put together in this project and *made huge HUGE money (300 Cr) out of it.*
The same is Warren Buffet used to advise, “when opportunity favors, DON’T GO FOR SMALL BETS. BET 50% OF YOUR NETWORTH IN SINGLE PROJECT.”
*Kamal and my uncle had demonstrated the power of compounding.*
The thing to be understood from these people are,…
(1) Never stop learning.
(2) Learning can happen only through *experiments, hits and trials..*
(3) In those experiments, you are bound to lose, but always cautious of never going bankrupt…..
(4) and minimize losses as much as possible by risk mitigation such as partnerships.
(5) Once opportunity strikes, BET BIG, BET 50% of your NETWORTH.
When “COMPOUNDING happens, all you NEED is, BIG POOL OF BASE TO GROW HUGE…”.
*Bettingly Big yours,*

3 Conflicting thoughts – New York + Nayanthara + Gandhian thoughts
*3 Conflicting thoughts or 3 disturbing occurrences during the same day from morning to evening:*
🙏Ramu🙏12/6/2022
Disclaimer: It’s definitely not about *”flaunting myself”* that I am in New York.
*Time – Noon*
#1) *Disturbing my Conscience:*
We have visited 2 observatory buildings, may be the few of the tallest buildings in the world viz…Empire State Buildings and 9/11 memorial.
Not only these 2, but 90% of the buildings nearby have about 100 floors each, and one can easily describe those as *”HUMAN MARVELS”* or even one can say, *”Humans have outplayed nature, God, impossible…”*
Each buildings have charged us $60 (₹4800) to observe the entire New York city from the 100th floor.
*(To me ₹4800 per person to spend few hours is equivalent to 1 week salary of “daily wages”. In India, a daily wage will be paid ₹800 per day if he sweats under sun from morning 9 am to evening 5 pm.)*
Everywhere they have flaunted themselves as so many tonnes of steel used, no of days, no of labourers involved, and how “once impossible become possible”, etc..
I couldn’t involve myself with anything of those, which others have expressed themselves as, “vow! Awe!!! Ooh!!!”.
Time : Evening
#2) *Disturbing my Conscience:*
After having retired in the room, watched few YouTube videos and one of those was…
*Actress Nayanthara’s marriage videos were sold for ₹25 Cr for Netflix OTT.*
*Time : Early Morning*
#3) *Disturbing my Conscience:*
I was reading “Gandhian’s thoughts about “Gram Swaraj” – discussions about how the continuous focus on developments and technologies could result in destruction of this entire humanity and this universe.
Gandhi’s thoughts was spinning around, Gandhi was not against of technologies if it had been focused on uplifting poor and thus reduce the inequalities.
Gandhi was fearful of all technologies (even during early to mid 20th century when Gandhi was alive..) might promote …
*”War against nations, too much of consumerism, more and more enemies, jealosy and it may not bridge the gap between poor and rich.”*
*Conclusion:*
Gandhian principles of “Ahimsa or Sathyagraha” is primarily rooted into “make the evil doers feel guilty by demonstrating Love” and this concept Gandhi might have drawn from Buddha or poet Thiruvalluvar.
#1 *9/11 memorial:*
By reinstalled more powerful buildings in the same place, “will anyway create guilty in any minds of “would be terrorists”?
“Does it anyway demonstrate the “menaces of war?”
To me, it’s nothing but, *”throwing challenges towards terrorists organizations that Iam ready for next strikes. Can you do?”*
#2: Selling marriage videos to OTT for 25Cr.
What is marriage?
Is it showing to the world how well we have got married?…
Or is it showing to the world, *”how we lived well for longtime after our marriage?*
This is what consumerism is all about.
*Consumerism feeds technologies. Technologies promotes greed and jealousy. Greed and jealosy promotes terrorism. Terrorism promotes war.*
It’s a vicious circle. One shouldn’t feel trap of it.
*Disturbingly yours,*

Cultural change Vs Generation gap
*Cultural change and Generation gap:*
🙏Ramu🙏7/6/2022
The way our own children of ’90s kids are having been flooded with abundant opportunities, improportinate efforts Vs remenuration, tools available to them for leverage etc…
…I couldn’t avoid pulling the most impacted Balakumaran’s story from my abdomen which I had read during ’90s these present kids were born.
The story goes…as the once sportsman Dad who turned out to be a coach for his own son.
This dad was the talented athlete but failed to get selected for Asian games because of his coach’s dirty politics.
So, he vowed himself to coach and grrom his 10 year young son as an athlete.
Thus he used to take his son to every tournaments nearby village, townships and district tournaments.
In one of the district RELAY RACE, When he was about to become the first, there’s a cute adolescent girl standing in a boundary line and shouting “come on…Arjun..come on..Arjun”
Once he reached the boundary line, she had hugged and greeted him with lots of excitement.
Once the game was over, father and son was traveling in a bus and father asked his son, *”who’s she?”*
Son replied, “Not sure. I saw her in earlier tournament as well and wished me that she’s fan for my style of 🏃♀️ running.”
Then the dad was going into contemplation for few minutes and then told his son with a helpless tone, as…
*”My dear son, during our days, even girls won’t come to grounds to watch sports.”*
*.. You guys are lucky that girls are becoming fans for sports and going to the extend of offering hugs.”*
*”For these kinds of opportunities and encouragements you guys receive, even Olympic Gold Medal is too small to compare for our days of exposure.”*
*”So, don’t fritter away this blessed living in a golden era and you must multiply your training hours and should achieve BIG.”*
*”Don’t settle for SMALL.*”

Movie review: Jana gana mana
*Movie review: Jana gana mana* 🙏Ramu🙏7/6/2022
By being a cinema lover, I have enjoyed this movie to the core.
It’s one of the very rare movies which I had watched without looking into my mobile.
These kinds of movies can challenge the age old debate, *whether cinema is meant for entertainment alone?*
It’s either at par or even slightly superior to another classic film “PINK – AMITAB BACHON” and this movie is enacted by “PritiviRaj”.
Theme of this movie :
*Whether media reflects public opinion or influences / shapes the public opinion according to rulers?*
Family watch! Must watch!

Is it the sign of maturity? Samsonite Vs VIP
*Is it the sign of maturity? Or cultural evolution? Or Cultural degradation? Or victim of herd mentality – following the crowd?*
🙏Ramu🙏5/6/2022
Just a couple of days ago, I had visited “Roshan Bag Mall” for purchasing “Travel trolley bag” with my 40 years school buddy Rajagopal.
We purchased 2 branded trolleys viz..Samsonite and Eminent brands, …
*…which had been exquisite finish like granite stone, marvelous curved edges, butter like movement of zips, water like flowing of wheels, etc…*
When we returned home, my friend had recalled our visit to Paris Corner of Chennai, during 1989 for purchasing the first ever VIP – ALFA suitcase when we landed first in Chennai.
During 1989, Paris corner was the only place available for Madarasis for everything starting from purchasing clothes to fancy items and also it’s the only boarding point for traveling to other cities.
When I got my first job in Chennai, it’s more or less of a SALES kind of job and thus we had visited to Paris corner and purchased “VIP – ALFA” for around ₹100.
We each one of you can recall how it’s made in those days …
*….kind of finish equivalent to “rough cement floor small stones scattered”, “concave shaped surface”, “padlock impressions on our fingers while closing and opening”, etc..*
*The funny part which my friend recalled was, we both of us, after having finished our odd “yellow” color suitcase which was the only option available to us…,*
*… we had been roaming around further for few shops, for locating proper “suitcase cover” which used to be perforated cut holes in appropriate places in such a way, opening and closing of the suitcase without removing the suitcase cover.*
*Those suitcase covers used to be for around ₹20, with dark olive green color or kind of military uniform colors which would further reduce the already zero asthetic suitcase to negative asthetic.*
*We had deprecated ourselves how barbaric fellows we had been during 1980s..*
*…and how well we have been transformed to such highly civilized fellows now who have never cared or fearful of spoiling the “granite like polished surface” of the newly purchased one.*
Now, I request you to go back to the top and read again the *”Title”* please…
*Is it the sign of civilization or is it the sign of maturity or is it the same “herd mentality” we have been adapted since 1980s to till date by “getting along with the crowd?”*
*To me it’s just, we are the victim “herd mentality” and nothing more.*
Thank you guys.
Herdingly yours,
🙏Ramu🙏
