Difference between Businessmen and other wealthy people such as politicians, actors and cricketers: Rahul Bajaj

If you deeply analyze, you’ll realize that India’s most hidden wealth are with politicians, political parties, actors, cricketers and real wealth are with entrepreneurs and businessesmen.

Two important differences:

(1) Importance to educate their wards Vs taking care off their own career:

In the above mentioned list of wealthy people, only businesses men and entrepreneurs give much more importance in educating their wards and invest their time too on them despite their busy schedule.

Other categories of wealthy people including politicians, actors and cricketers used to give much importance to their own career and through which creating wealth for their generations….

…. as they’d be always cautious of their present status and position were too short and temporary.

The other primary difference between the other wealthy people and entrepreneurs is,…

(2) Long term thinkers Vs Short term thinkers:

.. entrepreneurs and businessmen are always Long term thinkers as they build business for generations.

The other categories of wealthy people are always short term thinkers as they have always been fearful of dangling sword above their head in terms of market, form, age, scam, etc….

As they’re short term thinkers, their objective primarily of Amassing wealth in the shortest time possible as they may be ousted at any moment and ….

….thus they often create wealth for their generations by ignoring their family for whom they toil 24 X 7.

If you look at the way the entrepreneurs’ wealth creation process…

… they expect their wards to carry over their legacy through better technology, better products, etc…

….and so, they always give priority in educating their families including wives.

Can you name any politicians or sportsmen or actors’ sons or daughters carry their legacy or bettered their parents in any other fields?

(Exceptions may be dynasty politicians, that too, not in a right and authentic way.)

Rahul Bajaj:

The great legendary businesses man of our era Mr. Rahul Bajaj had passed away….

…but left us with two great sons who have been better educated, possessing better business acumen….

….than their great legendary father Rahul Bajaj himself.

It’s because Rahul Bajaj had created an enterprise with long-term thinking…

… and looking forward to carry over his legacy and it has happened accordingly.

My salute to Rahul Bajaj, not only for leaving us a great enterprise but also the better successors than himself.

Dear Venkatesh,

I have enjoyed attending your daughter’s marriage.

I can say, this is one of the most wonderful marriages I have attended ever in my life time in Chennai.

I generally avoid 90% of the Chennai marriages as no one cares and couples’ parents never come out from stage and we poor visitors simply have to stand in a long queue, gift and eat on our own.

*Your RECEPTION :*

However, you have conducted this function with extreme respect to each and every visitors.

I have observed you have personally taken care and attended each one of the visitors with extreme respect and care.

*DINING HALL:*

This one of the EXCELLENT foods I ever have in my lifetime in Chennai marriages.

Not only food, to my surprise, even in the dining hall, one lady has taken care each one of the guests personally and it’s a rare event in Chennai.

Even in wallet parking, all staffs are extremely courteous.

I really feel proud of you, Venkatesh for your management qualities, humanity and administration.

It’s no surprise, you could draw so much high profile visitors and guest and I really appreciate and I have learnt so many good qualities of you.

Once again, I wish the couple having fabulous life ahead.

First let me wish you warm 32nd happy birthday💐.

I feel really proud of you the way you you have been building your family blocks by blocks.

I should say tons of thanks to you for having allowed us to lead our own life by taking care of your life.

Over the last 4 years, I have been enjoying every moments of my life to the fullest in a way giving shape to all my desires and hobbies.

In these 4 years, the kind of my reading and writing levels have increased to multi folded only because of you have taken care off your life.

However, I am very well aware of the fact that you are still a long way to go and I am sure, you’ll.

My humble request to you during this occasion is :

I am not sure whether you have given sufficient and significant importance to your family life with Shiva regularly and it’s my concern.

If no, then it’s high time to start immediately.

Because it’s the primary thing to evolve as a better couple.

Second, my suggestion is to have plan for next child, because I did a foolish thing in my life as no one had advised me during my young days.

The third most important thing is to be alive in your profession and become a better professional every passing day.

If you have taken care of these 3 things viz…(1) family bonding (2) 2nd child on time and growing up (3) Professional growth, you will have felt proud of yourself like the way I feel in my 55s.

The following idea is drawn from the hypothesis called *”Red Queen Theory”*

To explain the RQT in layman’s language…

*RQT : In this highly competitive world, in order to stay in the same place, he has to RUN hard.*
——————————————–
*My crazy thoughts:*

If one keenly observes of his each and every activity, he has been performing from morning to evening, from school days to till date….

…those can invariably fall in to one of those following 5 major disciplines viz…

(1) for Food (2) for Pleasure (3) for Money (4) For Fame (5) for Power.

I hope, I can categorize the above 5 broadly in to 2 major discipline viz…

(1) *Food and Pleasure –> Bilological NEEDS*

(2) *Fame, Power, Money –> Psychological URGE*

Food and Pleasure are of absolute biological needs and one has to have mandatory in order to SURVIVE.

Other 3 are absolutely not necessary to survive; Isn’t it?

Those 3 are just of luxury or surpluses, we all would like to have.

The primary difference between *Biological NEEDS and Psychological URGE* is….

*Biological NEEDS:*

ONCE you have something, you Feel ENOUGH, at least not wanting temporarily.

ONCE you have something, you’ll become humbled at least temporarily.

ONCE you have something, you won’t SHOW OFF publicly , “YOU ate 5 kgs of rice in 1 shot, etc..”


*Psychological URGE:*

ONCE you have, the more and more you are desperate to have.

You want to show off to the public that you have more.

*Who or what had demanded Shakespeare or Milton or Kamban to write plays, poetry, etc…few 100 years ago?*

*Was creating poetry or literature finding any absolute necessity for human beings to survive few 100 years ago?*

No. It’s not.

*Then why did they do so?*

Because, by nature, we each one of us have wanted to create separate IDENTITY (EGO) for ourselves at each and every moments of our life. Even Gandhi, Teresa are of no exceptions.

*We always want to dominate certain sections of people….*

*… and to do so, we have been even ready to humble ourselves to certain sections of people.*

To dominate, to create separate identity (EGO) for ourselves, we have been in to…..

*…. creating absolute surpluses and luxurious things such as creating literature, innovating technological marvels like internet, mobiles, etc and also technological disasters like atom bombs, arms race, etc…

When one created identity (EGO), the others want to beat him with better identity (EGO).

*As a result, we have landed up in to running more and more but to staying in the same place when compared with our peers.*

What to do?

Nothing. We can’t.That’s how our world and life is designed or BUILT.

So, RUN faster and faster.

Don’t live in the fool’s paradise by taking REST by absolute stopping.

*If you are staying absolute, it doesn’t mean, you’re staying in the same place. You are lagging behind.*

*So RUN, RUN FASTER to STAY in the SAME place….*

Our Tamil poet, “Kannadasan” wrote :

This writing, like probably every other typed documents we have ever read, was typed with a *QWERTY* keyboard.

It’s named for the left-most six letters in its upper row. (qwerty)

It may be unbelievable or indigestible to understand the fact, that KEYBOARD layout was designed in AD 1873 as a feat of *”anti-engineering.”*

*It employs a whole series of perverse tricks designed to force the typists to TYPE as SLOWLY as possible.*

It uses the technique “scattering the commonest letters” over all keyboard rows and concentrating them on the left side, so that right hand people have to use their weaker hand.

*It’s because, typewriters of AD1873 jammed if adjacent keys were struck in quick succession, so that manufacturers had to slow down typists.*

When improvements in typewriters eliminated the problem of jamming, trials in AD 1942 with an efficiently laid-out keyboard showed that it would let us..

… *type double the speed and reduce our typing efforts by 95%.*

*But QWERTY keyboards were solidly entrenched by then.*

*The vested interests of hundreds of millions of QWERTY typists, typing teachers, typewriter and computer sales people, and thus….*

*…..manufacturers have CRUSHED all moves towards keyboard efficiency for over 60 years.*

Difference between History and Science : History ~ Science

After having read few good history books, I have realized there’s no much difference between History and Science.

Even I can say, History is also Science.

The primary difference between History and Science is :

Both of them take two facts (or two dots) and how one connects those facts (dots) tells us the difference between the both.

Science connects or fill those gaps between the two facts (dots) through finding new facts.

History connects or fill those gaps between two facts through intelligent guesses or forming opinions.

If chosen two facts are too close and form an opinion to fill that small gap, then History too can resemble close to Science.

*Conflicts in Life starts even before “4”: LOVE Vs LISTEN*

My grandson who is yet 4 months to 4, going to Montessori school where others are varied age group between 4 and 7.

Being an Asian, being born in to a family of tiny body frames, obviously all other participants are comparatively taller and better built bodies.

It seems, he might have dictated the RULES of the game to the other boys about “What and how” to be played and obviously those guys ignored this tiny boy and played their own game.

When his parents had picked him up after classes were over, he was very disappointed and uttering some odd words such as, “Life is horrible today…” or some thing of this sort.

My daughter started asking logical questions in such a way, ….

*”You should have adjusted and played to their wish.”*

*”What’s the need of they should listen to you?”*

” *Can you tell me one reason for why should they listen to you and why you shouldn’t listen to them?*”

He’s categorically thinking that *”They should listen to HIM, because he’s a very good boy and better boy than rest of them.”*

*”How do you say, you’re a better boy than the rest?”*

*”Because I am always doing exactly what my teacher told us to do.”*

“I am always executing the chores what the teacher told us to do.”

*”But those boys won’t take nap, when they’re told so. They never do coloring etc..”.*

*”So, isn’t it obvious for the “less good boys” to listen to the “more good boys”?*

That’s how, I too had dreamt about life when I was 4.

*If I’d be obedient to my parents and teachers, I’d come out in life with “flying colors.”*

(how foolish and naive I was!!! Even today…😭😭)

If I’d be more intelligent and put harder efforts than rest of us, I thought naively that “All of them would LISTEN to me.”

If I’d happen to witness poor and destitute boys in my own class, I’d thought of their parents and these children hadn’t put any efforts to their studies, not being obedient to their elders and teachers, etc….and thus *they’re destined to be destitutes.*

It seems, we, human beings who have never evolved, never understood, never identified about DECODING these psychological aspects of……

*”What makes others LISTEN to ONE” since time immemorial.*

Parents after parents have been wrongly teaching our children since time immemorial…..

*”It’s hard work, obedience, intelligence and smartness, alone…would make others listen to YOU.”*

When are we ourselves going to realize and teach our children, ….

*”It’s LOVE and LOVE alone and NOTHING else would create an edge for anyone to get others LISTEN to him.”*

When do my poor grandson learn the facts of life that,

*”by listening to others lovingly only making others LISTEN to HIM.”*

There used to be advertisements for ONIDA TV : *Neighbors Envy; Owners Pride*

When I am thinking of our Father of Nation, I have to rephrase it as :

*Owners Abandoned; Neighbors Kidnapped.*

*Owners forsaken; Neighbors OWNED.*

When I was in +1, during 1983, my school had screened “Gandhi movie”.

As usual, I escaped stealthily and watched some other glamor movie with my friends.

Then for every Gandhi Jayanti, the same movie used to be relayed in our Doordarshan and I have never watched the same, but invariably used those time to watch some or other glamorous movies.

Somehow, after read “India after Gandhi”, I have determined to watch the very first time in my life today *”Gandhi – in Tamil”.*

*Why today after 30 years…?*

Because, today only, I realized….

*Gandhi is the only person in the world history who has been literally abandoned and disowned as like an orphan by every sections of the people of his own country.*

After all Gandhi had dedicated his entire life for 4 major causes or 4 major sections of India viz..

(1) Fighting for freedom for everyone
(2) Fighting for religious harmony especially for Hindus and Muslims
(3) Fighting for eradication of untouchablity for Dalits and Harijans.
(4) Fighting for women’s emancipation.

Alas!!! He was abandoned by all sections of people.

~Muslims never believed his sincerity as he’s Hindu.
~Hindus believed him as a traitor for taking side on Muslims.

~Ambedkar, representative of Dalits never believed him as he’s was hailed from upper caste.
~Upper caste believed him, as long as Gandhi was alive, they can not uphold “varnashra dharma.”

~ All religious gurus and fanatics felt him as a “thorn”.

I have never found any of his photos in any of the Muslim shops, rather they had their own religious gurus.

Same is the case with Hindus, Christians, Sikhs, Daliths, etc..

Dalits celebrates Ambedkar.
Hindus celebrates SankaraCharyas.
Atheists celebrates Periyar.

As we each one of us have abandoned him, it’s westerners kidnapped his legacy and made a fine crafted “Bio-pic” out of Gandhi and won all Oscar accolades for the same.

No foreign countries have made any bio-pic on foreign great leaders such as Abraham Lincoln, Winston Churchil, Martin Luther King, etc …but ON GANDHI.

Fortunately, GANDHI movie was not made by our country or by our politicians….

As it’s made by foreigners each and every frame of the movie has earned its AUTHENTICITY.

At least, During this 73rd anniversary of Republic Day,

*Let’s need not celebrate our Father of Nation….*

*At least let’s not abusing him by celebrating his assassin, …or disrespecting his statues, etc…*

Dear *Mr. Ramachandra Guha,*

I am Ramu (54), from Chennai, just 5 ft 3 inches tall before read your book *”India After Gandhi”*

Now I have completed the above mentioned book and felt, I might have grown up to at least 5 ft 5 inches (+ 2 inches) tall.

*What a book it is!*

*What a feeling it has given me while understanding the tumultuous journey my India has been traveling since 1947 !!!!.*

*What a legacy or national possessions you are leaving behind you for this country and you’ll live for ever as long as the universe exists.*

I had been hesitant of picking up this book of yours as it’s around 1000 pages and I have never read not only “History books” but also of beyond 300 pages book of any genre.

*Few books more or less of a same genere of 400 pages such as “Sapiens”, “Guns, Germs and Steel” gave me a confidence that I could give it a try on your “India after Gandhi.”*

It took not only my 1 month time, but also, I had to skip few functions, few celebrations, few business trips, come out from few Whatsapp groups, etc…*and finally felt myself as if I had climbed Mt. Everest.*

*Had I read this book in my 30s or 40s, I could have opted for a career of “Historian” like you.*

At least, till 2014 or so, I used to have a disdained look on all history students and history teachers.

After I have read your book, I am sure, I may emphasize the youngsters who so ever have been seeking career counseling or my own grand children to give it a try on “History” as *it might lead him or her to other branches such as Anthropology, Philosophy, Ecology, Archeology, Paleontology, etc.*

Dear Mr. Guha,

*I wish I could meet you in person at any point in time of my life and understand your complete life journey.*

Please…give me time, anywhere and anytime and I shall be desperately looking forward to meet you.

I used to have the high regards for the witty top politicians such as Vajpayee and Karunanidhi.

Other leaders including Jaya, Modi are very serious orators.

After Bangladesh war was won, Mrs. Gandhi tended to capitalize her victory, she had called for fresh elections for 13 states in 1972 and in all the 13 were congress swept out.

As the Jana Sangh leader Atal Behari Vajpayee RUEFULLY remarked,

“WHILE THE OPPOSITION HAD PUT UP 2,700 SEPARATE CANDIDATES…

…. THE RULING PARTY HAD FIELDED THE SINGLE AND SAME PERSON IN EVERY CONSTITUENCY – INDIRA GANDHI.“
