World Cup Cricket 2019 : Semifinal Loss

“IT ISN’T OVER, UNTIL IT’S OVER” — the great Greek philosopher Solon’s warning to the EGOTISTICAL Greek King.

Virat Kholi would have understood the exact dimensions of the above quote’s depth, breadth and length and realized the power than anyone presently living in this planet.

Started from great legendary Vivian Richards to any cricket legendary in this universe invariably replied, “Virat” is the most inspiring batsmen ever they have come across till semi finals have been played.

Had Virat/ India won at least New Zealand match yesterday, and even lost in the finals, his cricketing career curve would have taken double/triple exponential dive and might be a challenge for cricket software to predict his popularity.

Ignore Virat, imagine Ravi Shastri’s subsequent beautiful sarcastic interviews by using sophisticated vocabulary and settled his long due score with other Indian counterparts.

Whether one should call it as “existential calculations or karma settlement” even MS Dhoni was not allowed to retire proudly by kept his head held high.

Though these legendary cricketers’ contributions such as Virat, MSD, Ravi etc should not be evaluated based only on yesterday’s match, and they are all still our affectionate and lovable cricketers’ and their contributions can never be underestimated and all of them have our respects.

However, we the common people should realize, *” Nothing is taken for guaranteed in our lives and each one of us turn out to be DUST in no time.”*

In the epic, Mahabharata, Karna was cursed by Parasuram as, “you will forget everything, when you needed most”.

Though, I may not attribute failures to fate or curse, I couldn’t escape from thinking, why it can’t be equivalent to this Parasuram’s curse, whatever happened (5 for 3) to Virat and his team yesterday,….

… for earned the curse of noble, straight forward, and the most honest legendary cricketer turned coach Anil Kumble, the way he was treated and shown door and joined with Ravi Shastri who would politely do second fiddle to Virat’s whims and fancies”

Though, I have not been fascinated by the faith of “existential punishment or karma settlement”, it’s a bahavioural science that even mighty king would go in to pit if his ministers do not challenge him occasionally.

Dear Virat and MSD,
You are pride of our nation and wishing you dust the dusts and reincarnate soon.

Loving Fan,
